FYI:

• Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death among students age 15 – 24
• 1 in 5 births in St.Louis will be to a teenage mom
• 3 out of 5 metropolitan youth drink on a regular basis
• 1 in 3 teens lives in a single parent home.
• 1 in 4 have used illicit drugs.
• In the St. Louis Metropolitan area teens are 14% of our population.  They are 100% of our future.

Strategy:

The statistics about teens are eye-opening.  We believe the most effective factor in changing these statistics is relationships with healthy adult mentors.  We believe these relationships are best cultivated in a safe and attractive environment where teens choose to spend their free time and connect with mentors in an authentic and consistent way.

Picture a social hotspot – an entertainment center with a purpose beyond profit – a place designed to attract and connect.  The Bridge exists to communicate with and connect current youth culture to Christ.  We utilize popular activities to attract youth culture and connect to individuals through these activities.  Behind the scenes, staff members and volunteers are listening, loving, sharing, and mentoring. Our promise is to love and communicate, and never to exclude anyone based on belief, custom, nationality, race, disability, or political alignment.  We simply want the chance to hear your ideas and to share our lives and hope with you.
